This is a blog documenting the found object mandalas hand-stitched by Susan Lenz. The series was started in August 2020. The series debuted in the 2021 Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show and was accepted into the 2022 Smithsonian Craft Show. It returned to Philadelphia in 2022. Since then, the series was picked up for representation at the Grovewood Gallery in Asheville, NC and Spalding Nix Fine Art in Atlanta, GA.

Mandala CXCVII
Mandala CXCVII. 2024. Custom-framed: 22" x 22". Found objects
hand-stitched to the reverse of a vintage quilt. Objects include:
Twelve, little rubber ducks; UAW buttons from 1970; a gold plastic lid
with a coffee K-pod; orange insulin syringe caps; four child's scissors;
vintage poker chips; corn-on-the-cob holders; orange toy men on horses;
copper colored can tabs; orange, plastic lids; copper-colored Mardi
Gras doubloons; Scrabble tiles; yellow beer can yokes; binder rings; and
assorted buttons and beads.For more information and
